CLINICAL LABORATORY SCIENCE CURRICULUM*

The Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science program is designed to complement the lifestyle of busy working professionals. Students will complete 10 credits per quarter and can graduate in just over two years. Graduates will be eligible, and well prepared for, the national certification examinations including:

  • The Board of Registry (BOR) exam sponsored by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) for the MT (ASCP) credential
  • The National Credentialing Agency (NCA) exam sponsored by the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science (ASCLS) for the CLS (NCA) credential

The first seven quarters are offered on a rotating basis so that all students in the didactic curriculum (quarters 1-7) are taking the same course at the same time. Each didactic quarter is thus offered only once every seven quarters, so if a term is missed, students may have to wait approximately two years for that course to be offered again. Students will not be permitted to register for the 8th and 9th quarter courses until each didactic course has been successfully completed.
