DISTANCE LEARNING-ONLINE EDUCATION
The University of Cincinnati's distance learning BS CLS degree is the same as the degree earned through the traditional on-campus method and comes with the same recognition. Our BS CLS program uses a multifaceted approach that delivers course content through a combination of multimedia presentations, readings, discussion sessions, online assignments, peer and professional support systems, and clinical assessments.
The courses in the distance learning CLS program are designed and delivered through a software package called Blackboard (Bb) Academic Suite™. You will become very familiar with Bb as you complete the Distance Learning Orientation Course which is mandatory for all new students. Courses in Bb are designed to be user-friendly with simple course navigation to help ease you into distance learning. All course information and learning activities will be located in the Bb CLS course site. Additionally, within the Bb site, you will have access to UC's One Stop Student Services center where you can log in to check and pay a tuition bill, apply for financial aid, register for classes, or update contact information.
As part of this program, you will have continuous academic, technical, and administrative support and resources from your Enrollment Advisor, Program Faculty, Facilitators, Student Services Assistant, Blackboard Helpdesk, Small Peer Group, UC Administrative Offices, and UC Online Library.
